The Restoration Process
For more than 50 years, we have been refinishing hardwood floors all around the tristate area. The process begins by assessing your wants and needs for your floors. More damaged floors may need small repairs, fillings, or heavier sanding than lightly worn floors. The process begins by sanding down your existing hardwood over multiple grits of sandpaper until we have sanded past any damaged parts of the wood and the color of your wood is uniform. Once we have sanded down your floors, we add your desired stain, if you want to change the color of your hardwood, and seal it all up to protect your wood. This process traditionally has been a long and messy one, but we have cut down on time and mess with our signature dust containment system and our ultraviolet curing process.
Dust Containment System
Woodwork of any kind, especially if it involves cutting with saws or sanding, can be a messy business. If you have ever had your flooring refinished or worked on by an inexperienced professional, you know that sawdust can get into every nook and cranny of your home. That layer of dust can leave your home feeling grimy, which is why we created our dust containment system. Our unique system successfully gathers dust as we work, leaving you with a beautiful and clean finished product.
Ultraviolet Curing
The other hassle with traditional hardwood refinishing is that the curing process can take a long time. While your floor is curing, it is recommended that you don’t walk on your floors or put any furniture down. That can be a real hassle if you plan on living in your home during the refinishing process. The traditional curing process can up to a full month, which means that you could be out of house and home for that whole time. We cut out the wait time with our Ultraviolet curing method. By using this high tech method of curing your floors, you will be able to safely walk on your floors the same day that the final UV coat is applied.
