What You’ll Do
- Welcome customers into our showroom and help them find flooring they’ll love for years to come.
- Guide clients through product options by listening carefully to understand specific needs and recommend the most appropriate flooring products and services to meet those needs.

What We’re Looking For
- Exceptional communication and coordination skills, with a natural ability to connect with people.
- Someone with a proven record (or strong potential) in sales, customer relations or business development.
- Strong sales initiative and drive, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and serve a diverse customer base.
- Prior retail or sales experience preferred, but not required; flooring, design or home improvement experience a plus.
- Proficiency in modern computer systems and tools, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and mobile applications.
- Ability to multitask and respond quickly in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Calm and professional demeanor when working with customers or resolving challenges.

Department: Business-to-Business (Builder Division)
Reports to: Vice President, B2B Sales / Builder Group Manager
Location: Cincinnati, Dayton, and Northern Kentucky
Position Summary
The Sales Assistant / Inside Sales Representative provides essential support to the builder sales team by preparing quotes, managing orders, and maintaining strong communication with builder clients. This role focuses on administrative and customer service excellence, ensuring a seamless process from quote to installation. The position is ideal for an organized, customer-focused individual who thrives on supporting a fast-moving sales environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Administrative Support
- Prepare quotes, proposals, and product takeoffs using NetSuite ERP.
- Support sales representatives with pricing, documentation, and follow-up on open quotes.
- Maintain accurate customer and order information in the CRM and ERP systems.
- Track project progress from quote to completion, ensuring all documentation is current.
- Generate weekly sales activity and performance reports.
- Customer Communication & Coordination
- Act as the primary point of contact for builder clients regarding orders, timelines, and service requests.
- Communicate installation dates, delivery schedules, and changes promptly.
- Follow up after installations to confirm satisfaction and resolve any service concerns.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accuracy in materials, labor, and billing.
- Team Collaboration
- Provide administrative assistance for builder programs, promotions, and client events.
- Participate in sales meetings, vendor training sessions, and team development activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and client experience.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in inside sales support, customer service, or builder coordination.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; NetSuite or other ERP experience preferred.
- Familiarity with flooring, construction, or homebuilding is a plus.
- High School Diploma required; some college preferred.
Performance Expectations
- Maintain accurate and timely processing of all quotes and service calls.
- Provide proactive communication and dependable support to builder clients and the sales team.
- Contribute to team efficiency and customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery.
Success Measures
- Timeliness and accuracy of quotes and orders.
- Client satisfaction and retention.
- Responsiveness to internal and external communications.
- Smooth coordination between sales, operations, and installation teams.
Help us keep projects on track and costs predictable.
You’ll run day‑to‑day purchasing (POs, vendor ETAs/expedites), own commodity buys (thinsets/adhesives) using purchase contracts, improve PO ↔ Receiver ↔ Vendor Bill accuracy for Accounting, escalate with vendors when deliveries are at risk, and speed RMA decisions.
We’ve already built strong NetSuite dashboards/saved searches—you’ll use them, refine them with IT, and keep the machine humming.
What you have:
- 4–7+ years in purchasing/buying
- strong NetSuite or SAP user
- experience with commodity contracts
- proven AP/3‑way‑match improvements
- clear communicator and steady under pressure.
Pay & benefits:
- Base Salary + 5–10% bonus tied to KPIs
- health/retirement/leave typical of a stable, family‑owned, ~100‑employee company
This position is based at our headquarters in Sharonville, Ohio.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Warehouse experience preferred, but not required
Forklift experience is a plus; training and certification are available through our in-house program
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Ability to lift 60–80 pounds
Willingness to drive a company vehicle for deliveries or pickups (no CDL required)
Familiarity with conveyor systems or machinery is beneficial and may provide opportunities for growth and increased earnings
